    Purchasable with gift card

1.
An early test track "We all must start somewhere. Despite not being the greatest, I think this is surprisingly listenable for a first track."
2.
An early test track "These early tracks I made before 2022 were, for the most part, tests. I knew that I wasn't really good, but it still shocked me how easy it was to make a track. Just Slow + Reverb. I would later reuse some of these older samples in ██████ ██████ █ █████ ██████████ as a bit of symbolism to show how far I've come."
3.
An early test track "Many of the samples I used for these early tracks were found after a few hours of scouring on Internet Archive. I still think sample-wise, a few of these hold up, but others not so much."
4.
An early test track "All of these early tracks were made in Audacity and nothing more. I'm surprised I thought to include details such as the track delaying out. Of course it wasn't actually delay; I just took the end of the song and looped it."
5.
An early test track "Silly sample."
6.
An early test track "I remember when making this track I didn't know how reverb tales worked. Instead, I paulstretched part of this track to emulate one. Yup..."
7.
An early test track "Probably the worst track out of these early attempts."
8.
An early test track "A shame that I can't find the sample for this. I think it works pretty well."
9.
A track for a hypothetical album about ███ "My first attempt at post-awareness. Surprisingly not awful, and I actually think the heavenly droning part holds up. This track was meant to represent someone on the brink of death before being brought back."
10.
A track for a hypothetical album about ███ "Rough around the edges, but I'm still somewhat proud of this one. Supposed to represent that moment when your consciousness kicks in when you're growing up."
11.
A track for a hypothetical album about ███ "Someone likes their low-pass filter, huh?"
12.
A track for a hypothetical album about ███ "Sample works but is poorly executed."
13.
A track for a hypothetical album about ███ "This used to have an AudioJungle tag in it, which was waaay too embarrassing to keep in..."
14.
A track for a hypothetical album about ███ "Surprised how well this sample holds up. I plan to realize this concept for an album at some point in the future."
15.
A submission for Nowhere at the Millennium of Space: Redux Year 5 "My first submission to a fan project. Really, really bad. I thought the popping was an issue on my end and not something with the sound file."
16.
A submission for Nowhere at the Millennium of Space: Redux Year 5 "Better but not that much better."
17.
A submission for Nowhere at the Millennium of Space: Redux Year 5 "Intended to be an I might be vanishing type of clarity."
18.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 1. Appears as A2. "Good sample, but I didn't know what EQ was at the time. Without the extra mastering for this release, this would have been unbearable to listen to as the piano bites. That can be said about many of these tracks."
19.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 1. Appears as B1. "Decent sample. I remember being really excited when submissions first opened since I had a lot of these sample ideas on standby."
20.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 1. Appears in the pre-remaster verson as B10. "Another decent sample. The day Year 1 released, I thought that gain was the issue with my tracks sounding bad. Again, I didn't realize what EQ was."
21.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 2 "There is no God."
22.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 2. Appears as C4. "I played around with early distortions for this one. The intro loops before breaking through into the full track."
23.
A submission for a project that never was. "I had spoken to a user about working on a project with them. This was intended to be the first track, but after two days or so the idea just died, I guess. It wasn't spoken of again."
24.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 2 "Still think this sample and bumper work pretty well. This is also my first track with a bumper."
25.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 1. Appears as A6. "Mars gave me the sample for this one. I think it works very well."
26.
A submission for Nowhere at the Millennium of Space : Redux Year 5. Appears in K1. "I was so happy to see this one make it in. I vividly remember that moment... This was also my first PA track that didn't use manual scrambling."
27.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 2 "Garbage."
28.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 2. Appears in the pre-remaster version as C1. "This track was originally going to appear again in Year 3 but styled like False memory syndrome."
29.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 3 "If I keep adding delay it must get better."
30.
A track for a hypothetical album about ███. "Shockingly good for such an early track. I remember that around this time I would use FL Studio for effects and Audacity for everything else. Made for a very strange workflow."
31.
A concept for an album about a sunken ship. "I had this concept for a series of albums that would eventually lead to a dementia one. The idea was that the protagonist was an author who wrote several stories. These would be portrayed as albums. Eventually, in the dementia album, tracks from these earlier albums would reappear as core memories."
32.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 1 "Much better."
33.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 1 "Good. This one has a really long reverb tale."
34.

35.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 2 "No thanks."

38.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 5. Appears in I1. "A layer for the previous track."
39.
A submission for Assorted Recollections; Designated Selections "Not amazing but the sample is pretty good."
40.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 3. Appears as E7. "Could've been done better. I think it's placement in the album is quite strange as well."
41.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 5 "Not bad. Surprised this didn't make the cut."
42.
A submission for A Climb To The Ether. "I remember getting invited to The Symphony of Dreams Discord but didn't end up accepting since I thought I wasn't talented enough. I was probably right about that. Still, I tried and ended up sending this to PXTSERYU as a submission. Not very good but ah well."
43.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 5 "A really mediocre attempt at PA."
44.
A submission for Nowhere at the Millennium of Space: Redux Year 6 "A calm J1-styled post-awareness segment. Decent. This would later be expanded into Longing for peace."
45.
46.
A submission for Nowhere at the Millennium of Space: Redux Year 6. Appears in P2 and P3. "This track likely takes the cake for the longest amount of time I've ever spent on a submission. I worked on this over the course of about five days, for several hours a day. It was exhausting. I was doing everything partially manually, so that is probably why. This submission also marks a point where I started using FL Studio more. I still assembled this in Audacity, however."
47.
A submission for Nowhere at the Millennium of Space: Redux Year 6. Appears in Q1. "A quick submission I made the day Year 6 subs closed. I like how it turned out still."
48.
A submission for Once Again at the End: Revisited Stage 1 "I was really peeved when I learned this was not making it in. Looking back, this submission is genuinely awful. Embarrassing even."
49.
A submission for Everywhere In a Different Universe Stage 1 "I can't say this one is great or anything but I would be lying if I said it wasn't catchy."
50.
A submission for Everywhere In a Different Universe Stage 1 "It's alright, I suppose."
51.
A submission for Everywhere In a Different Universe Stage 1 "Nope."
52.
A submission for Everywhere In a Different Universe Stage 1 "Half decent."
53.
A submission for Everywhere In a Different Universe Stage 1 "I really love this sample. Submission is in need of a remake, but still."
54.
A submission for Grandious Memories and Beautiful Years Stage 1 "A rushed nothing of a sub. I wasn't very motivated to submit to this project."
55.
A submission to vCJD Part 4 "I made this since, while working on something else, I had the sudden fear that I wouldn't be able to submit anything to vCJD in time. The result was that this ended up being a bit rushed. Half this track is paulstretched nothing sound."
56.
A submission for Once Again at the End: Revisited Stage 4. Appears in H1. "My first submission using Audio Butcher. It's alright but could've been better."
57.
A submission to vCJD Part 4. Appears in G1. "A much improved version of my first vCJD sub. Half of this is still paulstretched nothing though."
58.
A submission for Everywhere In a Different Universe Stage 1 "Yikes. This isn't terribly great. This is why you don't pitch down too much."
59.
A submission for vCJD: Extras "Meant to be akin to CJDs H1."
60.
A submission for Once Again at the End: Revisited Stage 4. Appears in G1. Alright, but a little boring. For some reason I made the drone then scrambled it instead of scrambling the sample and then droning it."
61.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 5. Appears in L1 and M1, as well as throughout the rest of post-awareness. "Something quick I whipped up for the sake of it. I put Pitchmap on it, but I don't think it did much."
62.
A submission for Once Again at the End: Revisited Stage 4. Appears in G1. "Another alright post-awareness submission. I feel like I could have given A1 more presence."
63.
A demo I made for fun. "I had received a CD with some Touhou fan music on it. The first track reminded me heavily of Nowhere at the Millennium of Space: Redux's A1. I decided to make a track inspired by it for fun. Not great at all but it wasn't meant to be."
64.
A submission for Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe Year 5 "Another submission I whipped up pretty quickly. It's decent but I should have cut the vocal blips."
65.
A submission for Once Again at the End: Revisited Stage 4. Appears as I1. "Things were looking rather bleak for this project but I saw potential for it. I decided to try and finish the rest of the tracks open for Stage 4 and created the entirety of I1. I'm rather proud of this in spite of things here and there that could be improved."
66.
A submission for Once Again at the End: Revisited Stage 4 "A byproduct of me working on I1."
67.
A submission for A vacant joy transcending the Universe "I will be completely transparent and say that I was very annoyed when this was rejected. At the time, it was the second longest I had ever spent working on an awareness track. It took three days, and apart from the fact that the mixing could have been better, I still think this is better than what made it into the final cut. Oh well. Win some, lose some, I suppose."
68.
A submission for A vacant joy transcending the Universe Alright, now, while I may understand a bit why the previous submission was cut, I have no clue why this was. I worked on this one over the course of a week and was very happy with how it turned out."
69.
A submission for Everywhere In a Different Universe Stage 2 "Could be made better but isn't too bad."
70.
A submission for A vacant joy transcending the Universe "This 100% could have been better, but again, I prefer this to what made it in."
71.
72.
A track I made for fun "I made this while hanging out with some family members. I really like the sample."
73.
A submission to Milwaukee Protocol Day 2. Appears in the pre-remaster as D2. "I had this track idea in mind since submissions for Milwaukee Protocol first opened. By putting a sample through an effect soup I managed to get a timbre that works pretty well in my eyes. Then add some ambient sounds and ta-da."
74.
A layer to the previous track "Spooky."
75.
A submission to Milwaukee Protocol Day 2 "I made this as a last-minute submission. Badly needs EQ."
76.
A submission to Milwaukee Protocol Day 3 "Another track idea I had rattling around in my brain for a while. It was the only track I ended up making for Day 3 since I had no idea how to approach the concept."
77.
A submission for A vacant joy transcending the Universe "This one is weird. Has a very strange vibe that doesn't fit the original track at all."
78.
A track I made for fun "Serves as a different universe version of London Town You Haunt Me Night And Day."
79.
A track I made for fun "Serves as a different universe version of Unreleased memory 3 from the BBC radio 6 interview."

86.
A submission for vCJD: Extras "I had originally thought that this version of Sleepwalk was created by The Ventures but I don't believe that's the case. Ah well."
87.
A submission for vCJD: Extras "Meant to be a 'What if vCJD A6 appeared in B-side?'. It's alright, I guess."
88.
A submission to Milwaukee Protocol Day 2. Appears as D2. "Much improved from the original. I'm very happy with this version, but if I were to make one change now I would have extended the quieter segment."
89.
Something I made for fun "I had this sample sitting about and thought I'd see how it turned out. It's... alright, I guess. Acts as sort of a precursor to a submission I would make for Images of Beauty Never Seen."
90.
Something I made for fun "I was discussing a track from Nowhere at the Millenium of Space with other people. I made this as a sort of proof of concept on how a track could have been improved. It's meh."
91.
A submission for vCJD: Extras "A track more in keeping with the original CJD A4."
92.
A submission for vCJD: Extras "I never submitted this one but I think it sounds pretty cool still."
93.

96.
A submission to Milwaukee Protocol Day 4. Appears in K1. "Something quick I whipped up based on what I expected the ending to be like. Pretty much copyright infringement, but we're gonna not pay attention to that..."
97.
A submission to Milwaukee Protocol Day 4 "Something I made for myself. Not terribly amazing, but I was pretty close to guessing the ending accurately."
98.
A simple test track "This was made as a way to test a delay plugin I got."
99.
A submission to Milwaukee Protocol Day 4 "My second original work. It was also the first track I made while fooling around with synthesizers. I really like this sub so I was bummed when it didn't make it in. Was a lot of fun to make regardless."
100.
A submission to Milwaukee Protocol Day 4 "Another original work. Not as good as my previous one."
101.
A track I made for fun "A mediocre recreation of vCJD's False euphoria. Funnily enough, the sample I used for this was eventually deconfirmed, so this isn't even close to accurate."
102.
A submission for Grandious Memories and Beautiful Years Stage 3 "Meant to be akin to All The Grand Memories Of All The Lovely Years' G6. Not terrible. I like the film projector direction I went with this track."
103.
A submission for Nowhere at a Different Millennium "Surprisingly good! It's a shame it won't ever appear in a project."
104.
A submission for Grandious Memories and Beautiful Years Stage 3 "This uses an old sample I found a while ago. I had made a test track with it, but I can't seem to find that anymore."
105.
A submission for Nowhere at the Millennium of Space: Redux Year 8 "I had wanted to make a track for Year 8 for a while but never had the motivation to do it. Suddenly, a day before submissions closed, I had a burst of inspiration and got cracking. Three different attempts emerged from this. I had wanted to combine them all into one big submission, but it didn't end up happening. This track is somewhat unfinished. It would have served as the second part of this giant submission."
106.
A submission for Nowhere at the Millennium of Space: Redux Year 8 "This second part is the only one of these three Year 8 submissions I consider finished. I'm very happy with this track. This would have conlcuded the big submission."
107.
A submission for Nowhere at the Millennium of Space: Redux Year 8 "I had sent this last part to the host of Nowhere at the Millenium of Space, Jordan Keuring, since submissions were closed. This is the most unfinished of the three parts. It would have served as the first part of the submission."
108.
A submission to Milwaukee Protocol Day 4 "Mediocre."
109.
A track I made for fun "An original work. Very simplistic, but hey."
110.

A track for a project that never was "The sample works amazingly."
112.
A track for a project that never was "Pretty."
113.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen COMMON FORGETFULNESS "Ah yes, my character arc begins... I was not expecting submissions for this project to open so soon, but lo and behold. I like the distortion that happens near the end."

A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen COMMON FORGETFULNESS "I really like this sub. Beach vibes. Sadly, it didn't fit."

A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen COMMON FORGETFULNESS. Appears as A3. "Good track. It uses this cassette plugin that PXTSERYU introduced me to."
119.

120.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen COMMON FORGETFULNESS "Made this improve my mixing abilities."
121.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD ALZHEIMER’S "The beginning of this track is amazing but the rest of it ends up being kinda plodding and boring. I tried improving this one on a few occasions, but I never got it to work.
122.

124.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen COMMON FORGETFULNESS "Extremely bland."

127.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen COMMON FORGETFULNESS "I think the flanger adds a lot."

A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD ALZHEIMER’S. Appears as F4. "Really happy with this one. It wasn't my intent when I started making this track, but I noticed it sounded a lot like some of William Basinski's works."

█ ██████████ ███ ██████ ██ ██████ █████ ████ █████ █████ "██████ ████"
133.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT "Scrumptious. I feel as if this one could have fit in an earlier part of C-side."

A track I made for fun "An extended version of the bells seen in my Longing for peace submission."
135.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT. Appears as C1. "One of my best tracks. The samples work so well to convey such a specific atmosphere. It's like you're walking around a rainy town at night, just thinking. I recorded the cassette sounds specifically for this. Consider this track my redemption for my Nostalgic Memories in a Fading Universe C1."
136.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT. Appears as D3. "A remastered version of someone else's track. The sample was good, but the submission was rough around the edges. With their permission, I remastered the track and this is how it appears in the album."
137.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT. Appears as C2. "A last-minute inclusion. For a while, Summer Madness was going to be the C1 but got cut. I thought the sample worked too well to be cut, so I eventually convinced PXTSERYU to include it. Mwahahaha!"
138.
A test track for Images of Beauty Never Seen "A result of me fooling around with CHOW Tape Model."
139.
A test track for Images of Beauty Never Seen "This was me playing around with how I could make these samples flow smoothly between each other."

141.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD ALZHEIMER’S. Appears in E1 and F3. "Without doubt, my best track and the one I'm most proud of. I'm so happy with how everything comes together. I especially love the use of the sample Lazy Sunday as an instrument. Man, I've come a long way..."
142.
A submission for Everywhere In a Different Universe Stage 1 "A user named Magnus taught me a lot about how tracks in Everywhere at the End of Time work. If it wasn't for them, I would have never known about things such as the unique delay patterns some tracks have."
143.
A track I made for fun "Based on Images of Beauty Never Seen A5."

146.
A track for a hypothetical remake of Everywhere at the End Again : Revisited "This was something I had been wanting to do since Once Again at the End died out. I'm still considering it but there have been so many other half-baked attempts at a remaster that I doubt I'll actually do it. Would just be considered unoriginal."

A track for a hypothetical remake of Everywhere at the End Again : Revisited "I forgot to add the delay to this one but I still think it's a good track."
148.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD ALZHEIMER’S "This was a Pitchmap test for the most part. Not a fan."
149.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD ALZHEIMER’S "Hate this track. I spent hours mixing it to get it just right. I ended up having really bad ear pain for a few days after making this track. In retrospect it sounds fine, but the static isn't good.
150.
A submission for Everywhere In a Different Universe Stage 1 "I pulled this sample from a Guy Lumbardo record I own but the transfer ended up sounding really strange. Not the greatest."

152.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD ALZHEIMER’S. Appears in E1. "I made this out of another user's submission in an attempt to make a Shepard tone. As a wise man once said, 'Reminds me of Earthbound'."
153.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD ALZHEIMER’S "I ended up really disliking E1 in Images of Beauty Never Seen due to it just sounding so... generic, I guess the word is. It was so fast-paced and just didn't have much going on. Because of that, I ended up working on this extended version for a few days. I was very happy with how it turned out, but it ended up being rejected. I was admittedly disappointed, but you can't win them all. Nowadays I would change a few things here and there. I might end up making a third version in the future.
154.
A submission for Ghost in the Machine "I was very excited for this project and put a lot of effort into the two subs I finished. There are a few still in progress, but I lost a lot of motivation to work on them once the original project host stepped down."
155.
A submission for Ghost in the Machine "Cozy."
156.
A track for a hypothetical remake of CJD "Like Everywhere at the End Again, I've had an urge to remake CJD for a little while. The following CJD tracks were made for fun and are not representative of how I would approach the concept (for the most part)."
157.
A track for a hypothetical remake of CJD "I'm really happy with how this one turned out. Sounds really miserable, and the little detail at the end is something I like a lot."
158.
A track for a hypothetical remake of CJD "This one is alright."
159.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD ALZHEIMER’S "I have a lot of issues with the production of F1 in Images of Beauty Never Seen. I toiled away for a few days trying to get the mixing for this remaster just right, but I never was able to get it exactly how I wanted. This ended up being rejected, but I still prefer it to what made it in."
160.
A submission for An Entropic Decay Approaching From Afar: Anniversary Edition "When I noticed submissions for this were open in the Symphony of Dreams Discord, I felt pretty bad that there was no traffic at all. I adopted a "Do it yourself" mentality and set out to remake each track I thought deserved a remake. This is still something I want to do but it isn't a focus for me right now."
161.
A submission for An Entropic Decay Approaching From Afar: Anniversary Edition "Now with 100% no popping!"

163.
A submission for Silence (Before Solace): Final Edition "I lost the original version of this submission. Needless to say, it was very bad. Very rushed, and the mixing was awful. I made two remakes of the submission, one with the same sample and another with an alternate sample.

A submission for Silence (Before Solace): Final Edition "A second version using the alternate sample."
165.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MILD ALZHEIMER’S. Appears as E3. "I'm really happy with this one. I managed to cram in a bunch of little details which give the track a lot of depth."
166.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MODERATE COGNITIVE DECLINE "Simple track. I had originally tried to use this sample in a smaller role in another sub but wasn't able to get it to work. Instead, I turned it into its own thing. Ring modulation galore."
167.
A submission for Images of Beauty Never Seen MODERATE COGNITIVE DECLINE "I had this submission done during the production of MILD ALZHEIMER’S but never got around to... well, submitting it. Regret that a bit since this might have been good as a follow-up from E1. Recovering from the revelation before diving down into the mood of what is currently E2. about

"Slow + Reverb" is a 170 track collection of the vast majority of the works I have made during my time in the Caretaker fan-project community. It catalogs my tracks starting from November 2021 all the way to August 2023. Tracks have presented chronologically from earliest to latest. I have included some brief thoughts for each of these tracks in the "lyrics" section. I do not claim to own any of the original songs used throughout these tracks.

I have never considered music in the style of The Caretaker to be very difficult to make. A lot of it depends on how good the sample you're using is. But, that said, there is still a bunch to learn, especially when you're going in with next to no audio production experience. Because of that, a lot of my tracks early on were downright awful! Even after those growing pains, I would say that I only got good at making this style of music around December 2022. Still, I think that these less than stellar attempts should be shown off as a way to show how I've progressed and perhaps give motivation to someone looking to do a similar style of music. There's always room to improve.

I'd like to take this little text wall of mine to give a massive thanks to Leyand Kirby. The music he has created has changed my life in a not-insignificant way. Without it, this body of work wouldn't exist and I wouldn't have met so many great people. Speaking of those people, I would also like to thank everyone in the community for their support and the experiences they have been able to provide through this niche genre.

Finally I would like to give a special thanks to the following humans:

█████, AKA "Mars." Thank you for everything

██████. Thank you for your support.

█████████, AKA "PXTSERYU". Thank you for tolerating my awkwardness. You've been a good friend and have been very fun to spend time with.

█████, AKA "Jordan Keuring". Thank you for being a driving force in the fan-project community. I don't think I would have even attempted music if it wasn't for Nowhere at the Millenium of Space.

███████ Cinnamon. Thank you for being a pretty cool guy. You have been a big inspiration.

And thanks to you for going out of your way to check this out!
